The government of Punjab has issued a Notification of Summer Vacation Extension 2021 in Medical. So, the specialized healthcare & medical education department has issued it on 23rd July 2021.
However, the cabinet committee has decided in the COVID-19 meeting. So, the Punjab Medical department has issued a notification no. SO(ME)23-7/2021(Corona) in this regard.

In addition, all public and private medical institutes shall remain closed till 15th August 2021. So, this notification includes medical universities / medical colleges/ Nursing schools and dental colleges/ paramedical/ allied sciences schools and colleges.
In other words, Covid-19 is spreading again rapidly in the country. So, the government is deciding to close step by step all educational institutes. Because there is a delta variant virus now in Lahore city.

Mostly, the students are suffering the loss of studies for the last two years. So, the government has held NCOC meetings with the time. In the NCOC sessions, the cabinet committee decides to close or open the educational institutes.
Similarly, they decide to close or open shopping malls, Bazars, etc. So, the cabinet committee will soon decide in the next meeting to open these medical institutes.
