Assistant Librarian Upgradation Notification has issued on 21 June 2021. So, the Finance department Punjab has issued a notification FD.PC.40-7/2013.
However, the finance secretary has written to all concerned departments of Punjab. The subject of this letter is Up-gradation of post of Assistant Librarian.
Assistant Librarian Upgradation Notification Finance Punjab
In addition, the post of assistant librarian has upgraded from BS-8 to BS-11. The governor of Punjab has approved this post upgradation. But it is necessary for incumbent to get prescribed qualification.
Therefore, the prescribed qualification for this post is intermediate with certificate in Library science.
Pay Fixation of Assistant Librarian:
However, Pay of Assistant Librarian has decided to fix accordingly. So, the concerned incumbents of upgraded posts shall stand upgraded. Therefore, the Punjab govt will fix their pay on stage next higher to the basic pay.
In other words, this basic pay in their lower pay scales with effect from 3rd June 2021. So, no premature increment allowed. The government of the Punjab has issued the policy in this regard.

At last, the government of Punjab has cleared regarding expenditure of this post upgradation. The govt will not issue any supplementary grant in this regard.
