 Summer Vacations 2024, in KPK for Schools

The KPK has also announced summer vacations for schools across the province due to the intense heat. These holidays will start from 1^st June to July 31^st. The official notification can be seen right over here:

According to this the schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain closed till July 31^st. The details of the schedule are given here:

Summer Vacation Schedule in KPK:

 

Primary schools	Closed from 1st June to 31st July
Middle, High, and higher secondary schools	Will remain closed from June 15th to August 31st
Upper districts	All the schools closed from 1st June to July 31st.

Why summer vacations are announced?

·      The 1st and one of the most important reasons is the student's health.

·      To save them from the effects of intense heat.

    Similarly, there are many health hazards for the students, due to this intense heat.

Summer Vacations across other provinces:

This announcement follows all the moves similar to other provinces. Similarly, in Sindh summer vacations have been declared across the province from June 1^st to July 31^st.

 

The government of Punjab has already declared summer vacations from the 25^th of May to the 15th of August.

 

The ongoing heatwave in Pakistan is greatly affecting the school schedules. The Ministry of Climate Change reported on Thursday 23^rd May that almost 26 districts across Pakistan were experiencing extreme heat. This heatwave is expected to last for about 7 days i.e. till the 30^th of May.

 

Especially Sindh which is always surrounded by high temperatures in the summer season. According to the experts, some of its cities may face temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius.
