Finance Department Government Punjab has issued a letter regarding Admissibility of Higher Qualification Allowance Punjab Educators Department on 02-10-2018.
It has focused to mention to state that the District Accounts Officer, Chakwal, vide his letter no. DAO/ CKL/DA/35 dated 04-04-2018 has demanded to explain the following matters:-
Admissibility of Higher Qualification Allowance Punjab
A grant of higher qualification allowance may drop or not in the future.
· Qualification allowance to the Teachers that was granted prior to 01-01-2018 will be continued or may be discontinued from 01-01-2018.
· It has detected that:
- · I) assured benefits have been allowed to PSTs/ ESTs & SSTs vide No. SO(SE-III) 5-11/ 2016 dated: 25-09-2017.
- · ii) A School Education Department SED has issued a Notification No.SO(SE-REC)2-85/2017 dated 17-11-2017 under recruitment policy 2017. Whereby prescribed qualification allowance has been enhanced for all the three tiers formula for Primary, Middle & High School Teachers.
- iii) All the categories appointed /promoted on /after 17-11-2017 are not qualification allowance entities. A Notification No.SO (S.III)2-16./2007 dated 24-09-2007 regarding qualification allowance has required to be amended in light of the enhanced qualification.
At last, It has been directed to request that this Administrative Department may move summary for CM Chief Minister for adjustment of a Notification dated 24-09-2007 in connection of the enhanced qualification allowance & improvement in the rules of the service for reflection of enhanced qualification therein.
