The government has announced 30% SSB 2022 Clarification Finance Department Punjab. So, the finance department has written this letter to the accountant general Punjab. Similarly, it is attention for deputy accountant general (TM).
However, the government has submitted this letter on 6th September 2022. Therefore, the finance department has clarified the position for employees of Punjab.
30% SSB 2022 Clarification Finance Department Punjab
In addition, the Punjab government has revised basic pay scales this year in the budget. Therefore, they have clarified 30% social security benefit as per revised pay scales 2022 with effect from 01-07-2022.
In other words, the provincial government has announced to revise two allowances.
- 30% Social Security Benefit for contract employees
- 50% Special protocol Allowance.
30% Social Security Benefit for contract employees:
The government gives this benefit for contract employees instead of pension. Therefore, they have revised this 30% after revision of basic pay scales 2022.

50% Special protocol Allowance:
The government has granted this allowance @50% on initial basic pay in the year 2018. So, the government has revised this same allowance @50% on initial basic pay on new basic pay scales 2022.
